About the Author
Associate professor of Decision Sciences in the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in operations management and management science. Dr. Stevenson is the author of textbooks in management science, statistics, and operations management. His articles have appeared in Management Science, Decision Sciences, Quality Progress, and other journals. He received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in production/operations management, from Syracuse University.

Operations Management made easy

Operations Management made easy with this book. The book is bulky and so was the course load but learned a lot and the book was awesome. There is a lot of calculations involved and the book actually shows how to do them using Linear Programming, Excel and what not. The chapters were well laid out and they kept building on previous chapters so the flow was pretty good. I had a really lazy professor who went to skip a chapter but I stuck with the book and life was a lot easier. The end of chapter solutions are somewhat tricky but if you pay attention, they shouldn't be big deal. The best part of the book is resale price. I bought this book, used it for a whole semester and then traded it in at at least +10% on Amazon. So the book was literally free for me.

I would reconsider buying this book from Amazon because I had to get this book for a class and needed the access code that came with it for the course. I ordered the new version of the book because Amazon stated that it came with the access code but when the book came there was no code in the book. Now Im going to have to buy the code separate since I can't wait for a replacement before my first assignment is due, which is another $100 out of my pocket I didnt want to spend! Definitely going to reconsider getting books from Amazon in the future

Really liked this textbook and was a little sad that I had to return the rental but we couldn't afford to pay the difference. I really feel like I learned a lot from this book and it wasn't too dry or boring at all. I used McGH Connect with it and he problems weren't too difficult if you had your textbook and notes.I got an A in this class so I was very pleased with it.
